Hime lolita fashion “Substyle of Lolita fashion”
Hime lolita or Princess style lolita is one of the many Sub-styles of lolita fashion. It keeps with the basic styling of lolita but with clothing that would be meant for a Royal Ball or meeting with kings and queens. This style originated from the Hime gyaru style, with it’s Bee hive and puffy hair styles right down to the “oh so beautiful” one of a kind shoes. Now, even though the Hime Gyaru and Hime Lolita styles share some similarities, they are still very different. Hime lolita is all about being a Princess from a story book or Victorian era while Hime Gyaru is the modern style of the Victorian era. It would be more like dressing up to impress the “Queen of England” or have a Garden tea party with “Her Majesty”. With all that aside, Hime lolita is one of the most extreme of the lolita sub-fashions. One can wear a tiara, a fluffy elegant dress or skirt with a complementing blouse, frilly knee high socks of tights and elegant matching or complementing shoes.
This form of lolita is one of the most frilliest and feminine sub-fashions. I love this form of lolita, though I do not own a frilly Hime lolita dress. It is a dream of mine to have one. Almost all name brand lolita fashion stores sell some form of Hime clothing. The colors for this form of fashion or white, pastels, floral and victoria theme fabrics. Accessories are simple but elegant and would blend with the outfit and the shoes tend to have a low to high heel. The shoes can either be simple and elegant or very elaborate, which can have lace, pearls, flowers, bows ect. Many Hime lolitas tend to use their own hair to make hairstyles to match but wigs fitting the outfit are a better and quicker opition which can save time. Makeup is keep simple but a little more time is always placed on the lashes and eyes. Another way to get dreamy princes eyes would be with false eyelashes and Circle lenses that make your eyes appear bigger, giving you that dreamy doll eye effect. To complete the look one must have their nails done or else the look will not carry very well, for the fashion calls for a “Royal Feel” and with it every thing must look the part.

Personally i enjoy goth or punk based lolita. But this article’s interesting, if the hime lolita fashion could or does carry a punk feel or goth feel to it I would for sure wear it easily and gladly.
Hi, Glad to see your interset in lolita fashion, they do have punk and gothic lolita, this is only one of the sub fashions that fall under lolita, you can do goth and punk styles. ^_^
